The TrafficWave.net AutoResponder system uses "Tokens" to insert personalized information into the Subject and Body of your Letters.

These tokens are replaced with real data immediately before Letters are sent to Subscribers, creating a personalized feel.

Signature Tokens

Signature Tokens are information about you. They can include things like names, phone numbers, and other pieces of information. These pieces of information can be changed at any time without having to edit every Letter individually.

Instead of placing your actual signature in your Letters:

Stephen Hambright
(888) 890-3946

You would place signature tokens:

**SIG_NAME**
**SIG_PHONE**

Signature URL Tokens

Signature URL Tokens are specialized Signature tokens meant for URLs only. These URL tokens are automatically wrapped in HTML linking code to make them "clickable" in your AutoResponder Letters.

Instead of placing an actual URL in your Letters:

http://www.mywebsite.com/special_page.html

You would place signature tokens:

**SIG_URL1**

Subscriber Tokens

Tokens are available for any Campaign data collected, and can be used to personalize your Letters.

Create a letter with:

Hello, **NAME**

...and subscriber Brian Rooney gets:

Hello, Brian Rooney

Subscriber Tokens are broken into two groups: Standard Tokens and Custom Tokens.

Subscriber Tokens
Standard Tokens EMAIL NAME FIRSTNAME LASTNAME COMPANY ADDR1 CITY STATE ZIP COUNTRY PHONE FAX SALUTATION GENDER BIRTHDAY
Custom Tokens CUST1 - CUST9

Standard Tokens are considered global tokens for each subscriber - meaning that these tokens contain subscriber data that is available to multiple Campaigns.

Custom Tokens are available only to a specific Campaign. They are used to collect and store subscriber information specific to a single Campaign.

These tokens are intended to be collected on a Capture Form when a subscriber is initially added to a Campaign (see Customizing Campaign Data). However, these tokens can also be added or changed later.
